The alienhouseplant was given plastic surgery so it could pass as a human male. There were certain abnormalities, but the doctor diagnosed "it" as a baby boy with spina bifida. Alienhouseplant uses a wheelchair to go to work, the store, the doctor. Normal human places. It also uses a car equipped with hand controls since its foot petals are too weak to use the pedals for the accelerator and brake. It pays for a home, and takes care of itself, sort of. It's getting harder to make ends meet. The alienhouseplant had no insurance and spent a week in the hospital at the end of last year. It may qualify for assistance, especially since it's poorly paid at its current job, but it had a bad experience with disability aid many years ago.

When it got a part-time job back in 1996, the alienhouseplant notified Social Security. It took them a few months to stop the checks. They say it was overpaid for those months. It owed them a few thousand dollars.  Alienhouseplant was only making a little more than a hundred dollars a month. More than enough to live on according to people who know about such things. The IRS has taken any refunds from income taxes for the past 10 years.  Alienhouseplant finds itself nearly 20,000 dollars in debt. And at the mercy of a job it must go to in order to pay the bills. A job that is slowly, but surely, killing the poor little alienhouseplant.
